WealthAdvisor.com is being auctioned off on Ebay and is available for a financial service company looking to strengthen its position in the highly competitive wealth management marketplace. To place a bid on this domain, go to www.eBay.com and search for WealthAdvisior.com during the auction period October 15th at Noon EDT to October 23 at Noon EDT. 
WealthAdvisor.com was first registered on December 3, 1997 and used as part of the Wealth Management News Service. It used this site to update reporter and online investors about wealth management issues and personal finance topics.
After the Wealth Management News Service closed down, the URL was maintained by William Rice, a founder of the WMNS and president of the Web Marketing Association. The URL has been sitting dormant for many years as the repository for past articles written by the WMNS. It was decided that it was time to allow WealthAdvisor.com to become an active site again.
“This is a great domain name that really should belong to a major financial services company”, says William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association.  “This domain lends itself to demonstrating a company’s commitment to wealth management, being part of a branding campaign and driving traffic to ta website through organic search results.”
“WealthAdvisor.com also would be a great opportunity for an entrepreneur to begin an entire business advising individuals about the creating and maintaining wealth. It also could be an effective website targeting high-end financial advisors,” added Rice. The domain will be listed on Ebay in an auction beginning on October 15, 2013 at 3:00 pm EDT and ending on October 23, 2013 at 3:00 pm EDT. Ebay was chosen as a way to allow all interested parties to have a chance at purchasing this highly valuable domain. The domain will be placed in escrow at www.Escrow.com to facilitate transfer to the winning bidder. This will confirm domain ownership directly with the registrar before the Seller is paid.

More than 1,500 entries from 40 countries were adjudicated in 96 industry categories during this year’s competition. Competition format
The competition was judged by a team of independent Internet professionals representing a variety of relevant disciplines of Web site development. Judges included members of the media, advertising executives, site designers, creative directors, corporate marketing executives, content providers and webmasters.
The WebAward competition format allows Web sites to compete head to head with other sites within their industry to win the Best of Industry award.  Entries also compete against a standard of excellence to win Outstanding Website and Standard of Excellence WebAwards.  Each site is judged on seven different criteria and earns a score between 0 and 70 points.  The highest score in a given category wins Best of Industry for that category. If the remaining entries receive a score of 60 or greater, they receive the Outstanding Web site award. Entries that score higher than their industry average and below 59.9 receive the Standard of Excellence.

Web Marketing Association Looking for Mobile Development Professionals to Judge 2013 MobileWebAward


The Web Marketing Association’s MobileWebAwards competition is currently accepting entries and is looking for qualified judges to help adjudicate this year’s award program.  This award program recognizes the individual and team achievements of Web professionals all over the world who create and maintain the best mobile Websites and the best mobile applications.   The Competition Web site is located at mobile-webaward.org and the deadline for entry is September 30, 2013.
To nominate yourself or someone within your organization, please complete the Judge’s Nomination Form. Mobile development professionals selected as judges will be contacted during the first week of October.
“Since 1997, the WebAwards have helped define the standards for website development, now the MobileWebAwards will do the same for sites and apps designed for mobile devices,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association.  “Smartphones and tablet computers are exploding and companies are racing to be allow users to connect and interact with them using mobile devices. We are looking for individuals who have direct experience developing for the expanding mobile platform. Our judges must have an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-the-art in mobile development, an eye for a well-designed interface and the objectivity to score entries according to a predefined set of criteria”.

“Revenue from Global Mobile Advertising to is expected to grow 400 Percent through 2016,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association.  “Worldwide mobile advertising revenue is forecast to reach $11.4 billion in 2013, with mobile advertising revenue creating new opportunities for app developers, ad networks, mobile platform providers, specialty agencies and even communications service providers in certain regions. HeBS Digital won Best of Show Mobile Website for Loews Hotels Mobile Website, which also was recognized as Best Hotel and Lodging Mobile Website.  Indiana Interactive, LLC won Best of Show Mobile Application for DNR iPhone Application, which also was awarded Best Travel Mobile Application.
The Web Marketing Association will also recognize the interactive agency winning the most awards in the competition with the “Top Interactive Agency” WebAward. In 2012, Aperto Move GmbH of Berlin Germany was named Top Interactive Agency for the 2012 international MobileWebAwards. They received five awards in the competition.
Each organization that wins 5 or more MobileWebAwards will be awarded an Outstanding Mobile Interactive Developer trophy.
Interactive agencies who are recognized with a winning entry will also be included in the Database of Award Winning Interactive Agencies.

One Month Until WebAward Deadline

Now is the time to enter the 17th annual WebAward Competition for Website Development. The deadline is now only one month away and you know you don’t want to miss it! Websites are judged on seven criteria, including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use and receive a numeric score.  Each WebAward entry is judged against other entries in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.  Entrants also benefit from receiving valuable feedback from the WebAwards professional judging panel on their Web site development efforts.
The WebAward Top Agency award recognizes consistency of effort and is given to the interactive agency that wins the most WebAwards in a given year. All locations and offices of a specific agency will be consolidated for the purpose of determining the winner of this award. In a change from prior years, each entrant will be awarded points based on the level of award for each award received. A Best of Show will be worth 10 points, Best of Industry 5 points and each Outstanding award 3 points and a Standard of Excellence 1 point.
