In its 30th year, the international WebAward Competition, organized by the Web Marketing Association at www.webaward.org, is on the hunt for the world’s premier Advocacy websites. The WebAwards establishes industry standards for 86 different fields, including Advocacy, Environmental, LGBTQ and Non-profits, judging them on seven critical website effectiveness criteria. Entries for legal websites are open until May 29, 2026.
“Advocacy organizations rely on their websites as mission-critical platforms to mobilize supporters, drive fundraising, influence public policy, and communicate in real time,” remarked William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “Today’s advocacy websites must balance compelling storytelling with data-driven targeting, mobile-first engagement, accessibility compliance, cybersecurity protection, and seamless integration with social and donation platforms. With increasing scrutiny around digital transparency and measurable impact, organizations need their online presence to be both persuasive and performance-driven. The WebAward Competition provides advocacy groups with an objective evaluation against industry benchmarks, delivering valuable feedback and national recognition that validates their digital strategy and demonstrates leadership in advancing meaningful change.”
Judging of websites entails analysis across seven criteria design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use.. Each Advocacy category entry is assessed against its peers and a standardized excellence criterion.
All Advocacy entrants benefit from receiving valuable feedback in terms of their specific scores compared against the average scores for their industry. They also may receive specific comments from the WebAward’s professional judging panel on their Web site development efforts.
Winners of a WebAward in the Advocacy category will also receive:
- Increased visibility for their company
