The Web Marketing Association is now accepting entries for its 29th annual WebAward Competition, recognizing the best financial services websites worldwide. As a standards-defining competition, the WebAwards evaluate sites in banking, credit unions, insurance, investment, mutual funds, and the emerging fields of cryptocurrency and blockchain. Best Travel Website to be Named by Web Marketing Association in 29th Annual WebAward Competition

The Web Marketing Association is looking for the best travel websites in the world as part of their 29th annual international WebAward Competition for Web site development at www.webaward.org. The WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets benchmarks for 86 industries, including travel, airline and hotel & lodging websites, based on the seven criteria of a successful web site. The deadline for the best travel web sites to enter to be judged is May 30, 2025.

“Travel websites serve as a crucial portal, opening up the world to millions and sparking the desire for exploration,” stated William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “In an era where the internet has revolutionized travel, eliminating traditional agents as the primary source of information, travel websites have risen to the challenge, embodying innovation and user-friendliness. Our judges particularly commend the exemplary use of design, engaging content, and interactive features in these sites. The WebAward Competition not only highlights the industry’s finest achievements in website development but also provides invaluable feedback and marketing opportunities, setting the stage for future innovations and attracting a new wave of adventurers.”

Websites are judged on seven criteria including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use. Each WebAward entry in the Travel category is judged against other travel entries and then against an overall standard of excellence.

All travel entrants benefit from receiving valuable feedback in terms of their specific criteria scores compared against the average scores for their industry. They also may receive specific comments from the WebAward’s professional judging panel on their Web site development efforts.

Best Mobile Web Sites and Best Mobile Apps of 2024 Named by Web Marketing Association

The Web Marketing Association is pleased to announce the winners its 13th annual international MobileWebAward competition.  This award program recognizes the individual and team achievements of Web professionals all over the world who create and maintain the best mobile websites and the best mobile applications.  The complete list of winners for each of the 86 industries covered can be found at www.mobile-webaward.org.

“Use of smartphones and tablet computers continue to explode and companies are racing to have users connect and interact with them using mobile devices,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association.  “The goal of the MobileWebAwards is to both recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective mobile Web sites and mobile apps on the Internet.”

This year’s top awards include:

Altos won Best of Show Mobile Website for “Tucker’s Website” which was also recognized as Best Restaurant Mobile Website. Glioblastoma (GBM) is a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer with a devastating prognosis.  On the Tucker’s website, users will find that the menu is app-like. On mobile, its vertical orientation is easy to scroll—a must for a restaurant with a substantial amount of breakfast, lunch, and beverage options.


State Farm Insurance Company won Best of Show Mobile Application for “State Farm Mobile App 2023-24” which also was recognized as Best Mobile  Application in the Information Services, Insurance, and Interactive Services categories. The app provides access to tools, guidance and support – delivering self-service options, intuitive services and shopping experiences that continue to demonstrates their commitment to the customer.

The 2025 Internet Advertising Competition Awards are open to all organizations and individuals (advertising and interactive agencies, corporate marketing departments, etc.) involved in the process of developing Internet advertising. Entries may be submitted online at IACAward.org. The deadline for entry is January 31, 2025 and will be judged on design, creativity, impact, innovation, copywriting, and use of the medium.

In addition to online newsletters, Awards will be presented within each of the industry categories and advertising formats such as:
Best Social Media Campaign
Best Online ad & Campaign (including banner, pop-up or interstitial)
Best Email message & Campaign
Best Online newsletter & Campaign
Best Website (including best landing pages and best microsites)
Best Online video
Best Mobile applications
Best Integrated ad campaign

Interactive agencies that win multiple awards will also be in the running for Top Agency Award. Each award won will count for points. The agency with the most points will be awarded the Top Agency Award. Agencies that win more the 6 awards will also be recognized with an Outstanding Advertising Developer award from the Web Marketing Association. In 2024, six agencies won this honor.

Judging for the IAC Awards will take place in February 2025. Judges will consist of a select group of Internet advertising professionals with an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-the-art in Web advertising. Past competition judges have included top executives from leading corporations, institutions and media organizations such as Arc Worldwide, Beeby Clark+Meyler, Brunner Digital, Campbell-Ewald, CNN, Deep Interactive Asia, Digitas, EuroRSCG 4D, Google, IBM Interactive, JWT, Mastercard, McCann Worldgroup, Possible, SapientRazorfish, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Small Army, Tectis GmbH, TMP Worldwide, Universal McCann Interactive and Wunderman / Y&R.

Best Websites for Advertising to Be Named by Web Marketing Association

The Web Marketing Association judges will select the best websites used as advertising in 86 industries as part of their 23rd annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards. The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. Companies or agencies wishing to nominate their website advertising work for consideration may do so at www.IACAward.org before the deadline of January 31, 2025.

The IAC Awards were developed to evaluate and recognize innovation and excellence in online advertising which includes a category for Websites. The Web Marketing Association’s WebAward Competition for Website Development will focus on the entire Web site, with particular emphasis on the creativity and functionality of the overall interactive experience.  Websites entered into the Website category of the IAC Awards will be judged based on their advertising merit.  A site can be entered in both the IAC Awards and the WebAward Competition.
