Best Online Newsletters to Be Named by Web Marketing Association

new_iac_logoThe Web Marketing Association judges will select the best online newsletters of 2014 in 86 industries as part of their 13th annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards. The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. Companies or agencies wishing to nominate their work for consideration may do so at www.IACAward.org before the deadline of January 30, 2015.

“Online newsletters are a critical marketing tool for many companies trying to maintain an ongoing relationship with customers and prospects,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association.  “Each online newsletter will be judged on copywriting, creativity, innovation, design, impact, and use of the medium. The IAC Awards provides an opportunity to find out who is doing an outstanding job creating online newsletters. It’s also a great marketing opportunity for the winners to promote their work to senior management, customers and prospects”.

“We believe that winning an industry specific award is more valuable to the participant. It allows the participants to be judges against their peers, just like in the marketplace,” said Rice.

The  2014 Best of Show winner for Online Newsletters was Sanky, Inc. for African Wildlife Online Newsletter campaign.

The 2015 Internet Advertising Competition Awards are open to all organizations and individuals (advertising and interactive agencies, corporate marketing departments, etc.) involved in the process of developing Internet advertising. Entries may be submitted online at IACAward.org. The deadline for entry is January 30, 2015 and will be judged on design, creativity, impact, innovation, copywriting, and use of the medium.

In addition to online newsletters, Awards will be presented within each of the industry categories and advertising formats such as:

Social Media Campaigns

Online ad (including banner, pop-up or interstitial)

Online ad campaign

Email message

Rich media ad campaign

Rich media online ad

Online newsletter campaign

Integrated ad campaign

Web sites (including microsites and landing pages)

Online Video

Mobile Apps

 

Interactive agencies that win multiple awards will also be in the running for Top Agency Award. In a change from prior years, each entrant will be awarded points based on the level of award for each award received. A Best of Show will be worth 5 points, Best of Industry 3 points and each Outstanding award 1 point. The agency with the most points will be awarded the Top Agency Award.

In an effort to recognize those organizations that demonstrate exceptional development skills across multiple entries, agencies that win more the 6 awards will also be recognized with an Outstanding Advertising Developer award from the Web Marketing Association. In 2014, 13 agencies won this honor.

Online Advertising Professionals Needed to Judge 2015 IAC Awards

new_iac_logoThe Web Marketing Association’s 13th annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Award program is currently accepting entries and is looking for qualified judges to help adjudicate this year’s award program. The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. The Competition Web site is located at http://www.iacaward.org and the deadline for entry is January 30, 2015.

To nominate yourself or someone within your organization, please complete the Judge’s Nomination Form. Internet and advertising professionals selected as judges will be contacted during the first week of January.

“We created the IAC Awards to highlight the best in this unique advertising medium by industry,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association, Inc. “We are looking to expand the judging pool for the awards by bring on qualified advertising professionals to help us set the standard of excellence for online advertising. We are looking for individuals who have direct experience developing online advertising. Our judges must have an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-the-art in web advertising, an eye for a well-designed ad and the objectivity to score entries according to a predefined set of criteria”.

Judging for the IAC Awards will take place in February, 2015, and winners will be notified by e-mail one week prior to the general announcement of winners in March, 2015. Judges will consist of a select group of Internet advertising professionals with an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-the-art in Web advertising. Past competition judges have included top executives from leading corporations, institutions and media organizations such as Arc Worldwide, Brunner Digital, Campbell-Ewald, CNN News Group, Deep Interactive Asia, Digitas, EuroRSCG 4D, Google, IBM Interactive, imc2, JWT, LeapFrog Interactive, Mass Transmit, McCann Worldgroup, Razorfish, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Tectis GmbH, TMP Worldwide, Universal McCann Interactive and Wunderman / Y&R.

The Best Online Advertising To Be Named By Web Marketing Association

new_iac_logoThe Web Marketing Association announces the Call for Entries for the 13th annual Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards. The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. This international award program will evaluate all forms of online advertising, including email, page-based ads, online newsletters, mobile apps, Websites, video and social media in 86 industry categories. The Competition Web site is located at www.iacaward.org and the deadline for entry is January 30, 2015.

“Online advertising continues to explode in all of it forms,” said William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “The IAC Awards can provide third party confirmation that clients are getting the best creative for their ad dollars. Winning awards is a great way to demonstrate your creative potential. We created the IAC Awards to highlight the best in this unique advertising medium by industry, and also to help advertising professionals validate their efforts to clients and senior management.”

For the 2015 IAC Awards, The Web Marketing Association has enlisted the help of Small Army Creative Services to create a new responsive website and online marketing campaign to support this year’s competition. “Small Army has really been great to work with”, added Rice, “They really helped us to focus on what is important to our participants and came up with an innovative design to help us stand out”.

Interactive agencies that win multiple awards will also be in the running for Top Agency Award. Each entrant will be awarded points based on the level of award for each award received. In the 12th annual IAC Awards, INNOCEAN USA was recognized with the 2014 Top Agency Award, winning 18 IAC Award winning entries. Their awards include a Best of Show award, 14 Best of Industry awards and 4 Outstanding awards, earning them 100 points towards the Top Agency Award.

Award Update

WMAlogo_fbMobileWebAwards – The MobileWebAward’s Call for Entries has ended and the judging is now underway. We expect the winners to be announced in early December. Good luck to all who entered!

WebAwards – The winners of the 18th annual WebAwards should be receiving their physical awards very soon if they have not done so already. Awards that were ordered will begin production as soon as the initial awards are shipped.

Internet Advertising Competition – the 13th annual IAC Award website is currently being updated to an entirely new design. The Call for Entries will begin the first week of November.

The Web Marketing Association’s Call For Entries for its 3rd annual international MobileWebAward competition has been extended until Friday, October 17, 2014 at Midnight EDT.  

This will allow all nominators to complete the editing of existing entries and anyone to submit new entries into this award program.   This will be the only extension granted.
