Best Biotech Website to be Named by Web Marketing Association in 30th Annual WebAward Competition

For the 30th consecutive year, the Web Marketing Association’s WebAward Competition, detailed at www.webaward.org, seeks submissions from the leading biotechnology websites worldwide, setting industry standards for 86 categories, , including healthcare, healthcare provider, medical, medical equipment, biotechnology and pharmaceutical websites. The entry deadline for biotech websites is May 29, 2026.

“In the biotechnology and medical sectors, a website is often the front line of credibility, education, and stakeholder engagement,” remarked William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “Today’s biotech and healthcare organizations must communicate complex science clearly while maintaining regulatory compliance, data privacy, accessibility standards, and cybersecurity protection. These sites must serve multiple audiences — patients, providers, researchers, investors, and partners — delivering authoritative content, clinical trial information, ESG transparency, and seamless mobile experiences. As innovation accelerates in areas like AI-driven research and digital health tools, websites must evolve just as quickly. The WebAward Competition provides biotechnology and medical organizations with an objective evaluation against industry benchmarks, along with the powerful distinction of being recognized as an ‘Award-Winning Website.’ That recognition enhances visibility, builds trust across critical stakeholders, strengthens search presence, and validates a company’s leadership in advancing healthcare innovation and outcomes.”

Criteria for website evaluation include design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use. Each entry in the biotechnology category is rated against other entries in the same category and an established standard of excellence.

Biotech entrants benefit from receiving precise feedback on their performance compared to their industry’s averages. They might also receive particular observations from the WebAward’s seasoned judging panel on their website development efforts.

All biotechnology entrants benefit from receiving valuable feedback in terms of their specific criteria scores compared against the average scores for their industry. They also may receive specific comments from the WebAward’s professional judging panel on their Web site development efforts.
