The Web Marketing Association is looking for the best real estate Websites in the world as part of their 30th annual international WebAward Competition for Web site developmentat the WebAward Web site. The WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets benchmarks for 90 industries, including real estate web sites, based on the seven criteria of a successful Web site. The deadline for real estate web sites to enter to be judged is May 29, 2026.
“In real estate, digital presence directly influences buying decisions long before a showing is scheduled,” observed William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “Today’s real estate websites must integrate real-time MLS data, advanced property search filters, interactive maps, virtual tours, video walkthroughs, mortgage calculators, neighborhood insights, and mobile-first responsiveness. Buyers and investors expect instant access to listings, transparent information, and seamless inquiry tools, while agents rely on lead capture, CRM integration, and marketing automation to convert interest into transactions. In a competitive, search-driven housing market, user experience and performance speed are critical differentiators. The WebAward Competition provides real estate firms and their development partners with an objective evaluation against industry benchmarks, along with the high-visibility distinction of being recognized as an ‘Award-Winning Website.’ That recognition strengthens brand authority, enhances discoverability, attracts serious buyers and sellers, and validates excellence in delivering a modern digital property experience.”
Web sites are judged on seven criteria including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use. Each WebAward entry in the advertising category is judged against other advertising entries in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.
