Garanti Mortgage is established in October 2007 as the first company concentrating on the marketing and sales of the mortgage business in Turkey, parallel to the potential of the global mortgage market, which is a major instrument in the finance sector. Garanti Mortgage’s operational structure is about enhancing the mortgage expertise for the business. Focus on expertise is not limited to the training of the bank personnel but also includes the training and seminars for real estate agencies and developers; since late 2007, over 3,000 real estate agency personnel over Turkey has attended such seminars of Garanti. Turkey’s first mortgage call center 444 EVIM - 444 38 46 (444 MY HOME), founded by Garanti, concentrates on assisting consumers’ different needs and questions regarding the mortgage business as well as obtaining mortgage applications via phone; an expert team of 20 operates in the call center to provide quality service to customers. Mortgage expertise is not limited to the branch and call center channels but an online web chat application has also been active since early January 2009, which also happens to be a first for the Turkish mortgage market. Consumers can reach the web chat service from Garanti’s mortgage website www.garantimortgage.com during week days between 09:00-18:00 for both assistance and application. Garanti Mortgage aims to enhance Garanti Bank’s mortgage expertise in order to maintain its market leadership in terms of both expertise and market share.
