It only takes a second for someone to wander away. Sixty percent of those with dementia will wander away at some point*. Fifty percent of those not located within 24 hours were deceased.** No one can be watched every second. The quicker the police, hospitals, family, friends, and neighbors are alerted to the situation, the better. Enrollment in MissingPatient.com Alert and ID allows police and emergency hospital access to your loved one’s information in the event they wander or are found without identification. This information is transmitted digitally (cell phone text, email and/or fax) to your contact list, other police departments, hospitals, and/or the media.
