Best Small Business Web site to be Named by Web Marketing Association in 30th Annual WebAward Competition

The Web Marketing Association is looking for the best small business Websites in the world as part of their 29th annual international WebAward Competition for Web site developmentat the WebAward Web site. The WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets benchmarks for 86 industries, including a category for small business websites, based on the seven criteria of a successful Web site. The deadline for small business web sites to enter to be judged is May 29, 2026.

“For small businesses, a website is often the most powerful marketing tool they own,” stated William Rice, President of the Web Marketing Association. “Today’s small business websites must compete with national brands by delivering fast mobile performance, clear value propositions, online booking or e-commerce functionality, customer reviews, local search optimization, and seamless contact pathways. In an environment where consumers research before they buy, digital credibility directly impacts trust and revenue. A well-executed website allows small businesses to expand beyond local boundaries while maintaining personalized service. The WebAward Competition provides small businesses and their development partners with an objective evaluation against industry benchmarks, along with the high-visibility distinction of being recognized as an ‘Award-Winning Website.’ That recognition enhances reputation, strengthens local and national discoverability, builds customer confidence, and validates a small business’s commitment to delivering an exceptional online experience.”

Web sites are judged on seven criteria including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use. Each WebAward entry in the advertising category is judged against other advertising entries in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.
