I stumbled into the web development field by pure accident. I attended the Savannah College of Art & Design where I earned my B.Arch and later M.Arch degree with an Art History Minor in historic Savannah, Ga. After spending a short amount of time in the Architecture field, I by chance, was offered a job in SCAD’s School of Building Arts blossoming IT dept. in 1997. It was here I was able to self teach myself multiple software programs to help support every Building Arts Degree field of which at the time consisted of 8 different degree programs. Eventually, while helping to construct the SBA’s first Intranet system I found a love for design and developing web sites, information architecture and system applications.
Currently I am a digital designer, specializing in Adobe Flash technology for Universal Studios Theme Park in Orlando where I have been for nearly two years.
I supervise online creative campaigns for new & existing themed rides, events, and hotels from start to finish. I thrive on creating attention grabbing work and create all projects with the goal of being highly successful and award winning. Design for me isn’t just my job, it is my passion I can usually be heard telling people “I get paid to create, design and color products for other people - how can you not love that?”
I have had the honor of doing work for the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, McDonalds, Mass Mutual, Google, Dell, Disney, Westin Hotels, Mohegan Sun, The Weather Network, Suave, Blackberry, Burberry, Capital One, Verizon, Mazda, Ciroc Vodka, Toni&Guy, Ruby Tuesday, Volvo, United Rentals, Kings Super Markets, Sitland, Staples among many others.
Having nearly 17 years of web experience under my belt I have had the honor of being published in numerous publications such as Communication Arts, Taschen’s ICON series, Print, Create Magazine, Computer Arts and many others as well as having won multiple ADDY awards, London International Advertising Awards, Webby Awards, multiple OBIE nominations, Adrian Award, Site of the Day among other online awards and recognition. I am also on the Board of Digital Advisors to Valencia College and have taught and lectured at many local Florida area Creative Institutions.
When not in front of a computer I can be found working in my other passion of music, where I manage EDM shows locally as well as consult for Insomniac, Disco Donnie and HTG events catering to crowds of hundreds of thousands of raving music fanatics.
