WebAward Judge Profile: Roger Ruegger

Publicis
Executive Creative Director

Roger always wanted to become a writer. And when he first heard about a much more realistic way to write for a living, he started his career in advertising in 1991 to become a copywriter instead. Today, the press calls him 'Creative Writer and PR Professional' (Compress), 'Internet Pro' (Unterwasser), 'Advertising Professional and Journalist' (NZZ) or even 'Watch Historian' (Finanz und Wirtschaft). And some of his readers even think he offers 'a real reason to revitalise their long gone knowledge of the German language'. Since 2011 Roger works as Executive Creative Director for Publicis Communications (Dialogue and Digital) in Zurich, Switzerland.
With a vast experience in Digital that dates back to 1995, he has been invited several times as a speaker to various congresses in Switzerland, the UAE or Germany and has twice held top-ten speeches at the largest internet conference in Switzerland. Additionally, he writes for several blogs.
Next to having collected several industry awards, he also served as a judge for award shows such as 'Best of Swiss Web', 'Edi', the 'Dubai Lynx Awards', 'spotlight Festival', 'John Caples', 'World Luxury Award', or the 'New York Festivals' and of course the WebAward.
