One of the strongest advantages interactive advertising has is the fact that it doesn’t have to be linear. One-size-fits-all campaigns are possible. But often, the most powerful storytelling we do centers around the power of user choice – individualized experiences designed to speak to each user’s unique pain points. American Family Insurance took this strategy to heart. They created a multi-pathed unit that educated users on their suite of insurance discounts. This allowed each individual discount product its own pedestal to tell its story. Not only that, it empowered users to select the discount most suited to their personal experience. Whether they renovated their home, had a smart home, or were a new homeowner, users were able to qualify. This personalized unit – bolstered by a video featuring the trustworthy star power of the Property Brothers – delivered. We saw increases of 9% in Awareness and 14% in Familiarity. We also saw an impressive 5.3% CTR, which suggests that this unit was powerful enough to encourage users to continue their journey with American Family Insurance.
