Best Construction Mobile Application

Target Audience:
Faction designed the site with the residential “Do It Yourself” consumer in mind. By creating relevant use-case scenarios, the experience takes a seemingly difficult process of buying and installing residential insulation and transforms it into a simple buying process by way of a few easy questions that lead to a personalized product recommendation.

Additionally, contractors and in-store sales associates can benefit from use of the tool. By demonstrating the bottom-line value of insulation with the Project Guide, they can use it as a support tool when speaking with prospective customers.

Objectives:
The Johns Manville Project Guide was developed as an online and mobile tool that can help provide a seamless and easy path for consumers to research, purchase and install insulation. By providing content, videos and interactive tools tailored to both a mobile and desktop experience, consumers can access the site on the go in Lowe’s stores (without the assistance of a retail associate), or at home.

Ultimately, the Project Guide gives each consumer a personalized experience based on their unique needs (location, size of home, type of construction, etc.) to provide better energy savings and a more comfortable home through Johns Manville insulation products.

Approach:
The insulation aisle in big-box retail hardware stores can be a lonely and intimidating place. Working with Lowe’s, in-store signage has been developed that allows consumers to access the site on their smart phones through a scannable MS tag. From that moment, consumers have control of their shopping experience and shouldn’t need the assistance of a Lowe’s retail associate.

Additionally, the Project Guide experience is being utilized as an “e-tail destination site” through Johns Manville/Lowe’s online marketing campaigns. The tool has already increased the conversation rates on all of the landing pages it occupies.
