For A&E’s new show American Hoggers, the network looked to attract viewers to it’s newest original real-life series in a way that was compelling and on brand. They looked to break through the clutter in a way that was authentic and engaging. The show takes place on a ranch in Texas where they hunt attack hogs. They filmed the hogs in their natural environment and looked to use them within a digital space. They planned a complete takeover of nfl.com. Knowing that creative within the digital environment needs to work hard to grab attention, the hogs were set to come out of the screen and actually tear up the landing page. The screen would then fade to reveal tune-in information and run a promo. This would be disruptive and drive further engagement from the consumer. Due to budget cuts, A&E was unable to run this campaign.
