ASSIGNMENT
In 2007, Ask.com released Ask3D, an upgraded interface with a range of unique features. They tasked Agency.com to build a microsite where users could compare this new interface to three competing search engines: MSN, Yahoo!, and Google.
SOLUTION
Agency.com created a site where users can view a side-by-side comparison of the results produced by all four search engines. The experience starts with a set of pre-selected search terms. After that, a user can search any term. This transparent comparison powerfully demonstrates the visual and contextual advantages provided by Ask’s new interface.
