Best Bank Online Newsletter Campaign

While some financial institutions publish short newsletters for their customers, Town & Country Bank is the only known bank in the nation that publishes a bi-monthly (and rather lengthy) newsletter directed to customers, shareholders and the general public that appears smack dab on the homepage of its website. Articles in "The Town Crier" cover a wide range of stories ranging from the bank's community involvement and other bank news, to employee human interest stories, to consumer tips and even a "customer spotlight". Two of the bank's executive officers also deliver messages on the state of lending, the economy, customer service issues, holiday thoughts, or just about anything else they feel may be of interest to a diverse group of readers. The newsletter's impact has been rewarding--prospective customers see and peruse the newsletter, often leading to new accounts; existing customers note the success and pride of the institution they patronize; shareholders feel informed as to the progress of the bank; and the bank's corporate culture and bond is strengthened by the professional and upbeat presentation. An archive of all past editions is available on the bank's News page , listed under Bank Newsletters.

TOWN & COUNTRY BANK

Location: USA

About the Agency:

St. George, Utah-based Town & Country Bank opened in 2008, and has emerged as one of the most consistently profitable banks in the U.S. In 2015, only 161 banks out of 6,163 banks had a higher Return on Assets. The bank is known for its many competitive differentiators and its high level of customer service. Town & Country was one of the first banks in the nation to combine the roles of teller, new accounts rep and customer service agent into a single position. It was an early adopter of debit cards rewards, and it visits business customers onsite to collect non-currency deposits, provide notary service and deliver documents. The bank holds weekly in-bank concerts and has established a cult-like customer following. In 2015, the bank's president was named "CEO of the Year" by Utah Business magazine, "Community Banker of the Year" by Western Independent Bankers Association and "Community Banker of the Year-Western Region" by Independent Community Bankers of America. Last year, Town & Country was also Utah's top Small Business Administration 7(a) Lender in the Small Bank Category.
