{"id":1719,"date":"2020-08-04T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-08-04T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.webaward.org\/theblog\/?p=1719"},"modified":"2020-08-04T10:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-08-04T14:00:00","slug":"web-marketing-association-accepting-entries-for-9th-annual-mobilewebawards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.webaward.org\/theblog\/web-marketing-association-accepting-entries-for-9th-annual-mobilewebawards\/","title":{"rendered":"Web Marketing Association Accepting Entries For 9th Annual MobileWebAwards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobile-webaward.org\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1047\" src=\"https:\/\/www.webaward.org\/theblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Best-Mobile-Award-sm-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"192\" height=\"256\" \/><\/a>The Web Marketing Association is pleased to announce the call for entries for its 9<sup>th<\/sup> annual international MobileWebAward competition.\u00a0 It recognizes the individual and team achievements of Web professionals all over the world who create and maintain outstanding mobile Websites and mobile applications.\u00a0 The deadline for entry in the 2020 MobileWebAwards is September 30, 2020.\u00a0 The entry form for this award program can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mobile-webaward.org\/?utm_source=PRcom&amp;utm_medium=Release&amp;utm_term=CFE&amp;utm_campaign=Mobile\">http:\/\/www.mobile-webaward.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf a company is not effectively using mobile to reach its audience, it\u2019s dead in the water.\u201d said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association.\u00a0 \u201cThe goal of the MobileWebAwards is to both recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective mobile Web sites and mobile apps on the Internet. Whether a responsive website, mobile-specific website or a mobile app, our expert judges will select the best offerings in 96 industries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mobile-webaward.org\/?utm_source=PRcom&amp;utm_medium=Release&amp;utm_term=CFE&amp;utm_campaign=Mobile\">MobileWebAwards<\/a> were judged on seven criteria seen as requirements for a success mobile website or mobile app. They include Creativity, Impact, Design, Content, Interactivity, Ease of use and Use of the medium. Each mobile website or mobile app entry is judged against other entries of the same format in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s top awards will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A \u201cBest of Industry\u201d MobileWebAward will be given in each of the 96 industry categories, including financial services, medical, small business, travel, advertising, transportation and government.<\/li>\n<li>The competition\u2019s highest honor, the 2020 MobileWebAward \u201cBest of Show,\u201d will be given to the one best mobile website and one best mobile app that the judges believe represents the pinnacle of outstanding achievement in Web development.<\/li>\n<li>The Web Marketing Association will also recognize the interactive agency winning the most awards in the competition with the \u201cTop Interactive Agency\u201d WebAward.<\/li>\n<li>Each organization that wins 5 or more MobileWebAwards will be awarded an Outstanding Mobile Interactive Developer trophy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Last year\u2019s top awards winners were:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryland.gov\/egov\/what-we-do\/Pages\/default.aspx\">NIC Maryland<\/a><\/strong> won Best of Show Mobile Website for A Better Maryland Interactive Web Site.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geico.com\/\">GEICO<\/a> <\/strong>won Best of Show Mobile Application for GEICO Mobile.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmp.com\/\">TMP Worldwide<\/a><\/strong> was named Top Interactive Agency for the 2019 MobileWebAwards competition. They received 13 awards including Best Employment Mobile Website.<\/p>\n<p>Two additional firms were recognized as Outstanding Mobile Developers for their work. They are the <a href=\"https:\/\/home.hktdc.com\/\">Hong Kong Trade Development Council<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/tmvgroup.com\/\">TMV Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Judging for the 2020 MobileWebAwards will take place in October and winners are expected to be announced in late December. \u00a0Judges will consist of a select group of Internet professionals who have direct experience designing and managing mobile Websites,\u2013including members of the media, interactive creative directors, site designers, content providers and webmasters \u2013 with an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-the-art in Web site development and technology. Past WebAward \u00a0judges have included top executives from leading organizations such as A&amp;E Television Networks, Agency.com, Beeby Clark+Meyler, The Cincinnati Enquirer, Comedy Central, Disney, Euro RSCG, Ford Motor Company, Ion Global, IBM, J. Walter Thompson, John Deere Company, New York Post Interactive, Organic, Inc., Refinery, R\/GA, Saatchi &amp; Saatchi, SAP, SapientRazorfish, Sun Microsystems, Warner Bros. Online, Xerox and Website Magazine.<\/p>\n<p>The 2020 MobileWebAwards are sponsored by the following leading organizations: PR.com, iContact, and WebMaster Radio.
