It recognizes the individual and team achievements of Web professionals all over the world who create and maintain outstanding mobile Websites and mobile applications. The deadline for entry in the 2016 MobileWebAwards is September 30, 2016. The entry form for this award program can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mobile-webaward.org\/mwa?utm_source=WMABlog&amp;utm_medium=Blog&amp;utm_term=CFE&amp;utm_campaign=Moble\">http:\/\/www.mobile-webaward.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs Internet traffic from mobile devices is set to overtake desktop devices, it is becoming more critical than ever to have an effective online presence tailored to mobile devices.\u201d said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association. \u201cThe goal of the MobileWebAwards is to both recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective mobile Web sites and mobile apps on the Internet. Whether a responsive website, mobile-specific website or a mobile app, our expert judges will select the best offerings in 96 industries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mobile-webaward.org\/mwa?utm_source=WMABlog&amp;utm_medium=Blog&amp;utm_term=CFE&amp;utm_campaign=Moble\">MobileWebAwards<\/a> were judged on seven criteria seen as requirements for a success mobile website or mobile app. They include Creativity, Impact, Design, Content, Interactivity, Ease of use and Use of the medium. Each mobile website or mobile app entry is judged against other entries of the same format in its industry category and then against an overall standard of excellence.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s top awards will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A \u201cBest of Industry\u201d MobileWebAward will be given in each of the 96 industry categories, including financial services, medical, small business, travel, advertising, transportation and government.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The competition\u2019s highest honor, the 2016 MobileWebAward \u201cBest of Show,\u201d will be given to the one best mobile website and one best mobile app that the judges believe represents the pinnacle of outstanding achievement in Web development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The Web Marketing Association will also recognize the interactive agency winning the most awards in the competition with the \u201cTop Interactive Agency\u201d WebAward.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Each organization that wins 5 or more MobileWebAwards will be awarded an Outstanding Mobile Interactive Developer trophy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Last year\u2019s top awards winners were:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsiworld.com\/\"><strong>WSI<\/strong><\/a> won Best of Show Mobile Website for Lastejaam, which also was recognized as Best Family Mobile Website. Lastejaam provides an easy library of children&#8217;s TV shows and games provided by the Estonian Public Broadcasting company.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.freshdirect.com\/index.jsp\"><strong>FreshDirect<\/strong><\/a> won Best of Show Mobile Application for FreshDirect iPhone App, which also was awarded Best Food Industry Mobile Application. This app allows individuals to order groceries online today for delivery tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.topspotims.com\/\"><strong>TopSpot Internet Marketing<\/strong><\/a> was named Top Interactive Agency for the 2015 MobileWebAwards competition. They received 6 awards, including: Best Small Business Mobile Website, Best Medical Mobile Website, Best Construction Mobile Website, Best Sports Mobile Website, Best Catalog Mobile Website, and an Outstanding Mobile Website Award.<\/p>\n<p>Judging for the 2016 MobileWebAwards will take place in October and winners are expected to be announced in late December. Judges will consist of a select group of Internet professionals who have direct experience designing and managing mobile Websites,\u2013including members of the media, interactive creative directors, site designers, content providers and webmasters \u2013 with an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-the-art in Web site development and technology. Past WebAward judges have included top executives from leading organizations such as A&amp;E Television Networks, Agency.com, BGT Partners, Worldwide, The Cincinnati Enquirer, Comedy Central, Disney, Euro RSCG, Ion Global, J. Walter Thompson, John Deere Company, New York Post Interactive, Organic, Inc., Refinery, R\/GA, Saatchi &amp; Saatchi, SAP, Starwood Hotels, Sun Microsystems, Warner Bros.
