DESIGN about TOWN
Chief Design Officer

Solana jumpstarted her career in the advertising field in Argentina, after receiving a B.S. in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires. By the time the late 90’s rolled around, she had started her own agency, Digma, and she immersed herself in this exciting new medium, the web. She transplanted to the US in 2000 and it was simply a matter of time before she started her own firm again. Solana founded DaT in 2005. Today, Solana is responsible for all aspects of User Experience for Goodsearch.com. She is a woman of many hats, working across the web, mobile and print.

People come back to Solana again and again. It is all about her unparalleled energy and talent. Whether Solana is updating your UX and UI, revamping your website or conceptualizing your new brand, she brings her positive energy and immense talent to the table. Clients range from TechCrunch and GigaOm to wineries such as Flowers and Robert Mondavi. Solana has also tackled technology companies, Tribal Fusion and Adap.tv, and bigger corporations such as VSP and LEWIS PR. DaT has won many awards over the years from industry groups including: The Webby Awards, The Communicator Awards, The Davey Awards, The W3 Awards and The American Graphic Design Awards.

Due to her strong background and focus on design practice and consulting, Solana regularly speaks at technology events including Web 2.0, SNAP Summit, FailCon and the Boys and Girls Club about user experience and design. She also serves as a judge for design awards competitions (ADDY Awards, Davey Awards, W3 Awards, Creativity Annual Awards, and the Communicator Awards).

Solana’s current home town is San Francisco, CA. Located in the midst of the creativity and technological innovations of the Silicon Valley gives her a unique approach to each design project. When not designing experiences, Solana loves to focus her energy in front of the camera acting, skiing in Tahoe with her husband and children, writing screenplays, and serving as a Board Member for the Randall Museum.
