Today we are raising the bar on online financial communications – not just meeting minimum requirements, but embracing the spirit of open communication.

Corporate and investor relations Web sites are not only one of the primary sources for news and information for investors and financial advisors, they are critical to a public company’s valuation and disclosure requirements. Ensuring that your Web site is functioning at optimum levels is essential.

The interactive Investor Relations Awards (iIR Awards) not only recognize excellence, they provide valuable independent feedback to all entrants - validating efforts and offering suggestions for Web site improvement that can assist IR officers in maintaining and justifying IR Web site budget allocations. But how can the investor relations executive and senior management know if the company’s website is effective? That is why the Web Marketing Association in association with by the Wealth Management News Service created the interactive Investor Relations Awards.

The Web Marketing Association (WMA) was founded in Boston in 1997 to raise the standard of Internet marketing and corporate Web development. Staffed by volunteers, WMA members are marketing, advertising, PR and Web professionals who share an interest for improving the quality of advertising, marketing and promotion used to attract visitors to corporate Web sites.  Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association has set the standard of excellence for overall Web site development with the annual WebAward Competition, a premier annual event for Web developers and marketers.

The Wealth Management News Services (WMNS) provides expert commentary and ideas to the financial media. WMNS content is also featured on wealthadvisor.com, a Web site available to high-net-worth financial advisors. Corporate members of the Wealth Management News Service include highly regarded asset management firms and financial advisors.

All iIR Award winners will have their entry highlighted on the interactive Investor Relations Awards Web site and on a personal award page that recognizes all of the participants on an entry. The Best of Industry winners also receive a personalized award plaque with an engraved image of the winning site’s homepage. Outstanding Web site winners receive an attractive Certificates of Achievement. All entries, regardless if they win an award, will receive any judges’ comments available for their entry.

But, the interactive Investor Relations Awards are more than an icon of achievement on your Web site or a colorful plaque on your wall. They’re about measuring what investors, advisors and other IR professionals think about your online efforts. They provide valuable feedback to reinforce what’s working and illuminate areas that need improvement.

Enter your IR Web site today.  Read the Competition guidelines for a detailed description of the process and complete the secure online entry form to submit your entry to the 2006 interactive Investor Relations Awards Competition and win the recognition you deserve.
