NASFAA promotes the professional preparation, effectiveness, support, and diversity of organizations involved in administration of student financial aid, and facilitates communication throughout its community. The organization represents more than 18,000 student financial assistance professionals at nearly 2,800 institutions of higher education, serving over 16 million students. The new NASFAA Web site, showcases a dramatic improvement in usability and visual impact, features a prominent usercentric constituent-based nav system, Flash news component, captivating features, and revenue generating ad/job listings. NASFAA can manage all homepage elements within their enterprise level CMS, including Flash driven news text and images, eliminating the need for outside developer’s help. Blue Coda also migrated over 6,000 pieces of content from their old site into the new CMS and AMS. By integrating with their AMS, the Web site includes premier membership level content, customizable homepage social media widgets, functionality for posting important daily news & events, online webinar registrations, video capability, membership sign up, customized administrative reporting and site-wide content management. We also set up customized news search capability (http://www.nasfaa.org/BrowseNews.aspx?id=747 )and a newsletter generator tool allowing users and admins to quickly filter and search news content. Admins who previously had to hand code Today’s News can now broadcast using the newsletter generator tool to over 5000 subscribers. This generator tool is integrated within the CMS. The site was also set up with Section 508 compliant, enabling users with visibility impairments to get the full benefits of the new site tools and functions.
